1. Rubio on re-election: ‘Maybe’
Marco Rubio seemed, maybe, to open the door on running for re-election to his Florida Senate seat, an option he had foreclosed in favor of his ill-fated presidential bid.
Rubio ready to speak at convention
Summary
Rubio told CNN he wouldn’t run because a friend is running. But if his friend dropped out? “Maybe. Sure, maybe,” Rubio said. “I enjoy my work in the Senate.” He would have until 24 June to file.
Summary
Poll data shows that @marcorubio does by far the best in holding onto his Senate seat in Florida. Important to keep the MAJORITY. Run Marco!

2. Cruz not leaping onto Trump train
Texas senator Ted Cruz is holding onto the delegates he won in the presidential race, for now, and was unwilling on Friday to say whether a “true conservative” would endorse Donald Trump.
I am looking and listening to see what the candidates do. I believe principles matter.
– Ted Cruz, not up for reelection
3. Trump backs out of Sanders debate
After the Bernie Sanders camp accused Trump of “chickening out” of a plan to debate the Vermont senator in California, Trump released a statement saying he would not debate.
Summary
Based on the fact that [Democrats] ... will not allow Bernie Sanders to win ... it seems inappropriate that I would debate the second-place finisher ... as much as I want to debate Bernie Sanders ... I will wait to debate the first-place finisher ... probably Crooked Hillary Clinton, or whoever it may be.

4. Ryan polls well despite Trump beef
Speaker Paul Ryan, whose slowness to endorse Trump could, Sarah Palin had warned, cost him his House seat, was doing OK in a poll of his Wisconsin district. It gave him a 73-point lead on his challenger.
Chickens may not roost for Ryan
