Marcin Bulka reveals the reason why he left Chelsea in favour of move to Paris Saint-Germain

Marcin Bulka has revealed that the lure of playing first team football was key to his decision to join Paris Saint-Germain.

The goalkeeper completed his move to the French capital after leaving Chelsea on a free transfer at the end of his contract this summer.

The 19-year-old is renowned as one of the hottest goalkeeping prospects in Europe but was limited to just four appearances in the EFL Trophy for Chelsea under-23s.

However, Bulka will now be hoping to get an opportunity to impress after signing a two-year contract with the European giants.

Speaking to the PSG website , he said: "I am really pleased and honoured to join Paris Saint-Germain today.

"Not only is this club a great reference in France and Europe, but it is also renowned for allowing many young players to express their potential in recent years.

"After my experience in England, I will do my best to continue my progress here with a fantastic squad and especially with top level goalkeepers.

"I can't wait to join training next Monday!”

The goalkeeper has been with Chelsea since the age of 16 when he signed a three year contract with the Blues.

Bulka is expected to be the third choice goalkeeper at Le Parc des Princes and will provide competition to France international Alphonse Areola after PSG won the race for the highly rated goalkeeper's signature.
