Marcelo Bielsa video underlines why Leeds United fans' pain will not be lost on him

Today marks the 30th anniversary of Marcelo Bielsa’s first championship with Newell’s Old Boys and a day he showed more emotion than ever on camera.

On December 22, 1990, Newell’s finished top of the 20-team Apertura tournament, which was the first of two phases in the 1990/91 Argentine Primera Division campaign.

All of the clubs played each other once in the round-robin format and the Rosario side came out on top with 28 points from 19 matches.

The video of the celebrations led by Bielsa, 35 at the time, have regularly been seen over the years and sum up the emotions of a man normally so reserved on and off the pitch.

Marking the anniversary, the English language Newell’s account has shared the video once again of Bielsa on the shoulders of the club’s fans, waving their famous red and black shirt and chaos ensues around him.
