A video message to football fans from Marcelo Bielsa has begun circulating on Twitter with the sport currently locked down across most of the world.
Leeds United’s head coach only interacts with the media through his standard press conferences, of which there has not been one since March 7.
However, a tweet published by Los Otros 18, a website dedicated to Spain’s second division, includes a video message from Bielsa.
The video has also been carried by author Colin Millar, an expert on Spanish football.
The message is translated as: “Everyone who is a part of this business that football has become is replaceable.
“The only people who cannot be replaced are you, the fans. The people who don't ask for anything in return, only emotions."
Bielsa has been spotted several times walking around Wetherby since the lockdown began.
