Robert Green has suggested Leeds United should leave more players in attack to try to solve their set-piece problem.
The Whites conceded two headers against West Ham as they lost 2-1 at Elland Road on Friday night.
Angelo Ogbonna's winner was the seventh set-piece goal Leeds have conceded this season.
It's a reoccurring problem that continues to cost Leeds, whilst Marcelo Bielsa has insisted they will continue to work on defending in training.
Former Leeds goalkeeper Green believes that one tactic - whilst Robin Koch and Diego Llorente remain out injured - could be to leave more men on the halfway line, to limit the number of opposition attackers in the box.
“It’s a set-piece and it’s a mismatch in height yet again. You can tell from Dallas there, he turns around and says ‘what can I do?’," Green told Sky Sports.
"The distance Meslier has to cover to get back in, he’s still moving back to his goal as the header takes place. As he’s going back into the goal, the movement and momentum is still there and he’s hoping his studs grip into the ground, but he can’t. It’s a soft goal for Leeds to concede.”
“If you have a mismatch in the box, take the players out of the box. If you’re the defending side, stick three or four players on the halfway line, then they’ll put three or four players back.
"If it’s just two tall players, leave your two tallest players back to mark their two tallest. Whatever needs to be. Just ask the question: ‘Have you got the confidence to go four v four at the back?’, because if they win it, they can break.
Jermaine Beckford added: “I’d have liked to see the big guys: Ogbonna, Balbuena and Soucek - they’re tall guys.
"Even though you’re going one v one defensively with them, I’d have liked to see Leeds pull one of the players from the edge of the box to use them as a blocker - to stop them having a free run.
"That aside, it’s very difficult because two of the tallest players from Leeds are out injured."
