Marcelo Bielsa's transfer window admission amid Eddie Nketiah limbo

Marcelo Bielsa has admitted that Leeds United are yet to make any concrete transfer plans as question marks continue to linger above Eddie Nketiah's future at Elland Road.

The Arsenal striker joined the Whites on a season-long loan deal at the start of the current campaign and has proven himself a firm favourite among supporters.

However, his limited starting opportunities - with Sunday's game against Birmingham his first in the Championship - may cause his parent club to rethink their plans for the striker this season.

The Gunners' Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur have already recalled Jack Clarke after loaning him back to Leeds in July due to a lack of minutes.

As such, the North London outfit - who have seen a change of management from Unai Emery to Mikel Arteta in the last month - could follow suit.

Bielsa previously professed his hope that Nketiah would remain at the club but has now stated that his transfer plans had hinged very much on both his and Clarke's careers in West Yorkshire.

"We need to know what is going to happen with Eddie," he told reporters. "We have to think about another player instead of Jack Clarke and we have to analyse those two decisions.

"If both of them [had] continued with us, we weren't going to incorporate [any new arrivals].

"Now that Clarke is not with us, we must think if it’s necessary to replace him and in the case Eddie doesn’t continue with us, we have to think [of] one more incorporation for sure."

The window opens on Wednesday, January 1.
