Marcelo Bielsa's response to racism allegation levelled at Leeds United player

Marcelo Bielsa has reacted to the allegation of discrimination levelled at one of Leeds United's players.

Charlton Athletic confirmed that an alleged incident of racial abuse directed at their forward Jonathan Leko was reported to referee John Brooks during United’s 1-0 defeat at The Valley on Saturday.

The following the 1-0 win over West Brom on Tuesday evening was Bielsa’s first opportunity to publicly react to the allegation.

“First of all, we reject any act or action of racism or discrimination. We reject it,” said the Leeds manager.

“I could not give an opinion about this because it is going to be investigated by the authorities. That is the only thing I can say.”

Earlier in the day, the club issued a short statement on the matter, which is being investigated by the Football Association.

"Leeds United are aware of an allegation made following our Sky Bet Championship game with Charlton Athletic at The Valley on Saturday," the statement reads.

"The club will be working with the FA during their investigation.

"We will be making no further comment at this stage."
