Marcelo Bielsa's flattering message to Eddie Nketiah after Arsenal starlet makes Leeds debut

Marcelo Bielsa has hinted that he will build his Leeds United team around the talents of Eddie Nketiah.

The Arsenal starlet made his debut for the Yorkshire side in the Carabao Cup victory over Salford City - a game which saw Nketiah get his first goal for his new club.

Nketiah could play a huge role in Leeds' push for promotion this term and Marcelo Beilsa has admitted that the 20-year-old is 'a special player'.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “The most important thing with Nketiah is that he is a special player and he doesn’t need a lot of instructions to follow his style of game.

“He’s a striker and the team will accommodate him, rather than him accommodating to the team.”

Eddie Nketiah also spoke out after his debut goal saying that he's looking forward to the rest of his loan spell.

He said: "It’s been a busy few days and I’m delighted everything is all sorted so I’m able to play football now.I’m looking forward to pulling on the shirt and giving my all.

“I’ve had a few days training, a few days testing.

"I’m trying to get to know the boys a bit better, it’s going to take a while to form the relationships but I’m just excited to get out there playing today.

“I hope to develop as a player, learn under the manager and some of my teammates too, just further my career.

"Hopefully I can help Leeds get to where they want to be and reach their ambitions, that would be great for me as well.”
