Marcelo Bielsa predicted to make key Leeds United change after Crystal Palace hammering

Leeds United succumbed to another 4-1 hammering on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League and now pundit Darren Bent believes Marcelo Bielsa will be forced to make a key change.

The Whites were commended for their approach at the start of the 2020/21 season which saw them play a free-flowing style of football, leading to bags of goals at both ends of the pitch.

However, the open nature of Bielsa's set-up has come home to roost in the last two matches - 4-1 defeats against Leicester City and Palace. But now former Tottenham star striker turned pundit Bent feels that the 'genius' Bielsa will change it up for the upcoming league clash at home to Arsenal on November 22.

"They’re looking a little bit leaky. Sometimes it’s one of those things, it’s a blip. We know Leeds are going to be OK," Bent told Football Insider. “The way they play with how hard they work, I fully expect them to be OK.

“I think it’s just maybe a little bit of a reality check. You can’t just turn up and just do what you want to do and walk it. Sometimes you have to be a little bit cautious. We know Bielsa, he’s a genius. I can’t see them playing so recklessly again.”

Leeds have conceded a total of 17 goals this season which as of Sunday morning was the highest number in the top tier. The Whites may have bagged 14 goals themselves, which is above average compared to the teams surrounding Bielsa's 15th-placed side, but the Argentine will want to see improvements from a defensive standpoint moving forward.
