Former Leeds United striker Jermaine Beckford has hailed the 'phenomenal' Marcelo Bielsa as the Argentine boss continues to push his side towards promotion.
The Whites are just 14 points shy of securing a long-awaited return to the Premier League ahead of tonight's clash with relegation-threatened Luton Town.
Bielsa's arrival at Elland Road has led to a significant improvement for Leeds, with the club now having a solid platform to build upon over the course of the coming years.
Highly-rated by many top-class managers, Bielsa is one of the greatest managers of the modern era and Beckford has made it clear he is a huge fan.
"He is a phenomenal person. His mindset, he doesn't look at football the same way any normal person does. He's obsessed with football, obsessed with tactics and obsessed with getting it right," he told TalkSport.
"Every opportunity he gets, he doesn't leave anything to chance. He literally breaks down into percentages where you're more likely to score a goal from, what position you're more likely to score a goal from.
"It's not outside the box, the percentage of opportunity you're going to score is less than 15%, he says when you're inside the penalty box, around the penalty spot and around the six-yard box, that's when your percentages go up to 70-80%.
"He tries to get the ball into those positions as much as he can. You can see the frustrations he has when somebody doesn't pay attention to whatever his point is.
"His substitutions at half-time, he took Patrick Bamford off who scored, he's the top-goalscorer. He's got these thoughts in his mind and nobody can tell him any different because he's a genius."
