Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink says Marcelo Bielsa has been an eye-opener for him as an aspiring manager.
The former Leeds United striker has previously had spells in charge of Burton Albion and QPR and has been keeping a close eye on the Whites under Bielsa.
Hasselbaink feels Bielsa's in-depth methodical coaching style is something that every young manager and player should be looking to study.
Speaking on Sky Sports, the ex-striker said Bielsa's work rate at Leeds has shocked him.
Hasselbaink said: "He’s been an eye-opener, for me as a manager, as a footballer, as a coach.
"You look at him, how he goes about things.
"To see how they train, what they do and what he stands for.
"Hard-work, but he’s got his way of working. He works with a really small group. No days off.
"Little sessions, he speaks a lot and then goes again. He works in high intensity.
"High intensity is one of the most important things for him. It was an eye-opener how he puts everything together.
"He analyses a lot after training, after matches.
"I don’t know about his family life, but the amount of work he puts in is amazing."
The Whites potentially need just one more point to guarantee promotion back to the Premier League, with Thursday's 1-0 victory over Barnsley taking them to within reach of the top flight.
Leeds were made to work hard in the victory but held firm to keep a clean sheet and take the three points.
