Marcelo Bielsa on why Leeds United will be at their best against Nottingham Forest

Leeds United will be close to full strength on Saturday as they lock horns with Nottingham Forest at Elland Road, says Marcelo Bielsa.

Bielsa's side held off Premier League interest from a number of clubs, including Aston Villa, to keep hold of their star man Kalvin Phillips on deadline day.

The 23-year-old midfielder was a crucial part of Bielsa's side that mounted a serious promotion challenge last season and will remain with the club as their look to go one step further this term.

The White also strengthened on deadline day with the loan signing of highly-rated Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah.

And Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed that besides an injury to 20-year-old forward Tyler Roberts, Leeds will be at their very best on Saturday as they look to build on their 3-1 opening day win at Bristol City.

"We don't have any [new] injured players," Bielsa told the media ahead of the clash.

"I can't tell you today that I plan to change any of the players. [Gaetano] Berardi can obviously come back into the squad.

"Roberts is a very important player for us.

"He's an offensive player with very clear abilities. We are missing him. We'd like him to be without injuries, we'd like to have him now with us.

He added: "We need to try and be better than the opponent and deserve to win it."
