Marcelo Bielsa has agreed to take a wage deferral of nearly £40,000-a-week to keep everyone at Leeds in a job.
Bielsa has suspended part of his monthly salary to help the club cope with their huge drop in income caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
The Championship leaders are set to miss out on millions because of the loss of their broadcasting and match day revenue with the EFL suspended until April 30 at least.
Bielsa, his players, coaching staff and senior management team offered to defer part of their salaries for the foreseeable future to ensure the club does not have to make any redundancies.
Top earners Patrick Bamford and Kiko Casilla have also accepted sizeable wage deferrals.
Leeds are the first British club to take this step and the players made their offer after meeting chief executive Angus Kinnear and director of football Victor Orta.
Leeds say their big-hearted gesture means they can continue to pay their 272 full-time employees and the majority of their causal staff.
In a joint statement the players said: “Leeds United is a family. This is the culture that has been created by everyone at the club, from the players and the board to the staff and the supporters in the stands.
“We face uncertain times and therefore it is important that we all work together to find a way that the club can push through this period and end the season in the way we all hope we can.
“In the meantime, let’s work as one to listen to the government advice and the health service and beat this virus.”
The Leeds players have accepted wage deferrals before in 2004 and 2014 as the club battled to stay out of administration and they have been widely applauded for their sacrifice.
