Marcelo Bielsa has promised Leeds fans he will not walk out on them to join another club this summer.
Bielsa says he will decide his future after Sunday’s final match of the season at home to West Brom and insists he is not in talks with any other club.
The Leeds boss, whose current season-long deal ends next month, said: “I’m not considering any alternative option.
“I’m being sincere I do not have alternative options. If I had it I would tell Leeds and not run the risk Leeds are coming to me more than I am going to them.”
Bielsa, 65, claims it is not just down to him if he stays for a fourth season, even though everyone connected with Leeds is desperate for him to sign a new contract.
“The evaluation of the continuity of a manager is such a delicate decision that every argument should be considered,” he said.
“There’s no better argument than every game of football. When all the games are completed is the moment to do an evaluation and to take decisions that are not exclusively mine.
“The structure of this organisation, this team is a place of work where any manager would like to be, even the best managers in the world.
“That’s to say this place, Leeds United, what the club represents, is something very desirable.
“I share the idea Leeds United is a lot more important than I am. The people who run this club, by that I’m referring to the president, the sporting director, the general director, they have created a structure that has very few weak spots.”
Bielsa is 99.99 per cent certain to carry on next season and chairman Andrea Radrizzani confirmed contract talks for next season have already started.
Terms will not be an issue and Bielsa is always more interested in the finer details, such as the faculties at Thorp Arch, to give the team every chance of success.
