'Strange decision' Leeds United fans react as Eddie Nketiah keeps his place in Leeds United's starting XI

Leeds United fans have registered their surprise at seeing Eddie Nketiah retain his place in Marcelo Bielsa's starting XI .

The Whites are at The Hawthorns for today's tea-time kick-off in a clash between the two sides in the automatic promotion places as they look to begin 2020 on a high.

Leading scorer Patrick Bamford missed out against Birmingham City on Sunday with a dead leg and returns to the bench today, as Bielsa keeps his faith with the side that claimed a 5-4 win at Birmingham City.

Nketiah, who made his first Championship start for Leeds at St Andrew's, retains his place in the side  amid speculation that his parent club Arsenal are planning to recall him owing to lack of playing time.

With Leeds unchanged it means Kiko Casilla continues in goal with a back-four of Luke Ayling, Ben White, Liam Cooper and Gjanni Alioski. Kalvin Phillips, Stuart Dallas and Mateusz Klich are in central midfield, with Jack Harrison and Helder Costa out wide.

There is just one change on the bench, where Bamford replaces Tyler Roberts.

A win for Leeds today would see them open up a three-point gap over the Baggies at the top of the table.

Leeds United: Casilla, Ayling, White, Cooper, Alioski, Dallas, Phillips, Klich, Harrison, Costa, Nketiah

Subs: Meslier, Casey, Douglas, Berardi, Gotts, Stevens, Bamford

And here's how fans have reacted to the line-up on social media:
