Marcelo Bielsa has issued his verdict on Leeds United's promotion charge ahead of the run-in, with a crucial match against third-placed Fulham taking place today.
A defeat against Cardiff City last weekend wasn't the result the Whites were looking for on their return to action, raising the importance of their clash with the Cottagers.
Victory would extend their advantage over the West London side to ten points in the hunt for automatic promotion, while defeat would see that margin reduced to just four points.
However, Bielsa knows that every game remaining in the season is vital for Leeds' quest to return to the top-flight and said as much ahead of kick-off.
“Every match is a step that is vitally important, it’s going to have an influence on everything that is involved in the fight for promotion," he told Sky Sports ahead of the match.
“What we needed against Cardiff was more options in attack and creating more chances according to the possession that we had.”
Brentford closed the gap on Leeds with victory over West Brom on Friday night and Nottingham Forest are also in the hunt for a top-two finish.
