Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed that left-back Barry Douglas missed the goalless draw with Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough on Saturday with a knee problem.
The Scot, who has been restricted to just seven Championship appearances so far this term, was a noticeable absentee from the match-day 18 at Hillsborough, as Leeds missed out on the chance to go top of the Championship.
In Douglas' absence, a place on the bench was awarded to skipper Liam Cooper, who made his return from injury by stepping off the bench in the second half.
Explaining Douglas' absence, Bielsa, addressing the media in his post-match press conference, confirmed that the 30-year-old missed out with a knee complaint, though it isn't believed to be too serious.
"He felt something in the knee, but it's not important," Bielsa said.
It remains unclear as to whether Douglas will be available for selection for the Whites' tussle with QPR at Elland Road next Saturday.
