Marcelo Bielsa issues Leeds United team news update ahead of Manchester United clash

Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed that Leeds United have no new injury worries going into Sunday's trip to face Manchester United.

Leeds renew their Premier League rivalry with their bitter foes after they returned to winning ways with a thumping 5-2 victory over Newcastle United on Wednesday evening and will be hoping to upset a Manchester United side that have won just once at home this season.

The clash against the Red Devils will be Leeds' third match in ten days as the club enters the busy festive period, but Bielsa was able to confirm that no new injury issues were picked up during the win over the Magpies.

"There are no injuries and the time for recovery has been sufficient," he said in his pre-match press conference at Thorp Arch.

Following the controversy that surrounded his decision to name his starting XI prior to the West Ham match earlier this month, the Argentine again confirmed that he would not be naming his side early.

"If possible, I'd like to avoid the following question," he pre-empted.

Bielsa has had to make do without defensive summer signings Diego Llorente and Robin Koch for Leeds' last two matches, after Koch limped out of the defeat at Chelsea and Llorente picked up a muscular injury.

Spain international Llorente was ruled out for two-to-three weeks, while Koch underwent knee surgery earlier this month for a procedure that will rule him out for three months.

Both will remain absent, as do long-term injury victims Adam Forshaw and Gaetano Berardi.

The Sunday afternoon trip to Old Trafford will be Leeds' first since their famous 2010 FA Cup third round win, while the last Premier League clash between the two took place in February 2004 when the two rivals shared a 1-1 draw.
