Marcelo Bielsa issues injury update ahead of Bristol City clash as fresh problem emerges

Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa says he has no fresh injury doubts going into this weekend's clash against Bristol City.

The Whites host the Robins on Saturday afternoon, with Bielsa confirming that there are no new concerns following on from the 1-1 draw against Bristol City.

"Nothing new," Bielsa said when asked about team news.

"All the players who played Brentford are in good condition to play Bristol."

Tyler Roberts missed Tuesday night's 1-1 draw at Griffin Park and appears unlikely to feature again, while Bielsa also revealed that Robbie Gotts has been sidelined was an injury for the last month.

"Yes," Bielsa replied when asked if Gotts' recent absence from matchday squads has been down to injury.

"[It is a] muscular injury from five weeks ago," he continued.

Roberts was hurt shortly after he came on against Nottingham Forest last Saturday following a heavy challenge from Samba Sow. He was able to finish the match, but the knock ruled him out of Tuesday's 1-1 draw at Brentford.

Bielsa was also asked about Adam Forshaw, who is due to go under the knife today in Colorado for season-ending surgery on a hip issue that has plagued the midfielder's season.

"It is something the club has informed about," Bielsa said. "Six months in process for him. It is a medical detail I prefer the club to talk about because it is not my responsibility.

"All I can say is our medical staff made everything to try to help the player and they gave everything to solve the situation."
