Marcelo Bielsa will come up against a new opponent tomorrow night when Mark Bowen takes his place in the home dugout.
Ahead of the trip to the Madejski Stadium, Bielsa spoke to the press, explaining what he knows about the new Reading manager and who he sees as the threat that his team will have to nullify to take home the three points.
Bielsa was asked if he'd seen a change in Reading's style of play since Bowen was appointed.
He said: "The results improved. And they kept their shape. The point of the proposal of the new manager was welcome in the sense that they kept the shape but they have improved their results.
He went on to explain what he expects to see from the team that currently sits 18th in the Championship and what it says about Bowen himself.
"I always try to interpret coaches regarding how their teams play," he said.
"The profile of the player is an offensive thing. In the midfield they have creative players - 8 [Andy Rinomhota], 10 [John Swift], 14 [Ovie Ejaria]. Both attackers have impact. Both full-backs have impact when they are attacking.
"So if we are talking about seven players with an offensive profile and one shape where they have kept playing the same, so we are talking about one manager that he knows about what he wants.
And was he aware of Bowen before he got the Reading job?
"You have more information, where his career (has been), where he has coached, if he was assistant, you know all these things," Bielsa said.
"But more important is what every manager gets from their teams."
