Marcelo Bielsa has already revealed how highly he rates Reading midfielder John Swift amid recent transfer speculation.
The 26-year-old has scored eight goals and provided six assists in just 14 appearances and has attracted the attention of Newcastle United, Leeds and other Premier League suitors.
Swift is out of contract at the Madejski in the summer and the Whites could pick up the midfielder for a cut-price fee.
The Whites pursuit of a of a midfielder has been well documented and their recent Premier League struggles have only emphasised the need for potential reinforcements.
It's not the first time Leeds have been linked with a move for Swift, who's impressed for the Royals this season.
Speaking in February 2020, Bielsa said: "Swift is a great player.
“I value him a lot. He is a player who appears suddenly in attack and the same in transition between defence and attack, but especially when he passes from the defence to the attack.”
The Whites boss was speaking in the aftermath of Leeds' win over the Royals in the Championship. Swift's attacking contributions from midfield are something currently missing from the Whites line-up.
The Welsh midfielder has an impressive impressive 62 goal contributions in 178 games.
