Jack Clarke has failed to play a minute of Championship action for Leeds United this season.
The teenager signed for Tottenham during the summer transfer window, but was immediately loaned back to the Whites for the season.
However, the winger has fallen foul of the EFL's loan rules and is yet to play under Marcelo Bielsa in 2019/20.
The loan rules state that in any matchday squad you can only name five loan players and Leeds currently have six on their books.
Loan stars Ben White and Jack Harrison have started every game for the Whites so far this season, while Ilan Meslier is the second choice goalkeeper at the club.
Helder Costa and Eddie Nketiah have been the other loanees to make the bench this season, leaving Clarke as the odd man out.
And Bielsa has hinted that things are not about to change for Clarke and if anything it could get even harder to work his way into the first team thinking.
Speaking ahead of the game with Charlton Athletic this weekend, Bielsa told Leeds Live that Pablo Hernandez was injured and that had implications for another loan star.
He said: "Helder Costa will play.
"He is ready, he is prepared. I cannot say I am happy because people will say I’m happy Pablo [Hernandez] cannot play!
"I am happy for Helder and sad for Pablo. I do not want to take the risk, but I am happy Helder is playing."
If Costa takes the place of Hernandez, Leeds would have three loanees in the starting lineup, with Meslier and Nketiah taking their places on the bench as they have done in every league game so far this season.
And Costa's position on the bench would have to be taken by a player on Leeds' books.
