Marcelo Bielsa drops hint over Leeds United future as he is spotted on training pitch

Towards the end of the 2020/21 season, Marcelo Bielsa was asked by a journalist whether he had any holiday plans this summer.

"No," he replied, living up to the humility which has come to embody his personality.

Leeds United fans are enamoured by the Argentine, and many have taken to social media to further express their love for the Whites boss, after it was revealed he took part in a children's football team training session.

The 65-year-old was pictured from afar, as instructions were being given to a group of U11s, decked out in shorts and a t-shirt.

While many Premier League managers would have been playing golf in the Algarve or holidaying in the Caribbean, Bielsa has seemingly remained in Yorkshire, opting to help out at a local training session instead.

As a result, it is rather unsurprising that Leeds fans have jumped at the opportunity to commend their enigmatic manager for his latest good deed.

@Tonylufc28 tweeted: "Hes just an incredible human being isnt he. Hes here for the long term that's for sure. Feel blessed to have him at our club."

@Lukeclarehugh joked: "Picture taken through a fence at distance, it's how he would want it"

While, @RevAMol said: "God, imagine at 11 having one of the greatest football managers giving you advice. Some kid will get to say "Marcelo Bielsa praised one of my passes" for the rest of his life."

Questions have also been asked about the Argentine's commitment to Leeds United beyond this season, due to his preference for agreeing one-year contracts each summer.

Clearly, his commitment to Leeds and the wider community surpasses many of his managerial equals, which speaks to the wider issue of his contract.

Amongst Leeds supporters and the club's hierarchy, there has been serenity over Bielsa's future, not panic.

This latest demonstration of Bielsa engaging with the local community is as good an indication as any of his intention to remain Leeds United manager.
