Marcelo Bielsa dotes on Leeds United midfielder's 'unusual' technical ability

Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa has labelled Stuart Dallas as the 'complete player' ahead of the Whites' trip to The Den to face Millwall on Saturday afternoon.

The Whites, who lie 2nd in the table heading into this weekend's fixtures, will be eyeing up a second successive victory when they travel to South East London to face the manager-less Lions, who lost manager Neil Harris on Thursday evening, ending his long-term relationship with the club.

But whilst the Whites will head south in confident mood, Bielsa is going to be forced into rotating his squad with injury issues setting in, with midfield duo Adam Forshaw and Jamie Shackleton ruled out aloing with sidelined Pablo Hernandez.

But Bielsa has entertained the idea of moving the versatile Dallas into a midfield role, leaving the right-back position to be occupied by the returning Luke Ayling, who is yet to start a game this season.

Though injury issues are from ideal when chasing promotion, Bielsa is fortunate to have such a versatile operator in Dallas, who has excellently filled the right-back void in Ayling's absence so far this term.

On the prospect of moving Dallas into central midfield this weekend, Bielsa, speaking at his pre-match press conference on Thursday, said: "It’s not usual to find a player like that. He can play on both sides, even if he’s right-footed.

"He has the agility of a winger and is powerful as a defender. Technically, he’s a complete player. He has enough aerial play to play on every level of the pitch.

"Even if he’s a player of the sides, when he has to play in the centre he doesn’t have problems."
