Marcelo Bielsa delivers Pablo Hernandez injury blow ahead of Sheffield United clash

Pablo Hernandez has been ruled out of Leeds United's Yorkshire derby against Sheffield United, with the Spaniard set to be sidelined for the next two weeks.

Hernandez was withdrawn from the starting line-up to face Fulham on Saturday after he suffered a groin strain in the warm-up.

"Pablo Hernandez still has two weeks of recovery before he can return," said Bielsa in his pre-Blades press conference on Friday afternoon.

Record signing Rodrigo was drafted into the line-up at the 11th hour for the 4-3 win over the Cottagers, but Bielsa has not yet decided who will replace the 35-year-old at Bramall Lane.

"The team will largely be the same, the only possible alternative will be [Tyler] Roberts instead of Rodrigo."

Hernandez dealt with a hamstring issue during last season's run-in, with Bielsa largely utilising him as an impact substitute, often to match-winging effect.

Leeds make the short trip to Bramall Lane on Sunday for a 12noon kick-off, which will see the Premier League host its first Yorkshire derby for 19 years.
