Marcelo Bielsa reveals latest injury news for Leeds United ahead of Stoke clash

Marcelo Bielsa has given an update on Leeds United's injury list ahead of Saturday's trip to Stoke City, with the news that club captain Liam Cooper could miss out.

In the press conference before the midweek Brentford clash, the coach announced that Gjanni Alioski, Barry Douglas and Cooper were doubts for the match.

Alioski and Cooper made it in the end, while Douglas missed out due an unspecified complaint.

During the match, Stuart Dallas was withdrawn late on due to injury, something Bielsa confirmed after the match.

Speaking in the pre-match press conference, Bielsa said that Cooper could miss out, with Gaetano Berardi set to replace him alongside Ben White in the centre of defence.

The Argentinian also confirmed that Dallas might be out of the clash with Stoke on Saturday, stating that academy product Jamie Shackleton would replace him at right-back.

"We are thinking about him in the match in the Cup," responded Bielsa, when asked about Douglas.

The left-back will remain out for Championship clash with the Potters this weekend, but he could return for the Carabao Cup clash next Tuesday.
