'No room for error' Leeds United fans react to team news as rivals close gap before Forest clash

Leeds United fans have reacted to news that January signing Jean-Kevin Augustin is on the bench for tonight's clash against Nottingham Forest as Brentford and Fulham both won to close the gap ahead of kick-off.

Bielsa has named an unchanged Leeds United starting XI for tonight’s clash against Nottingham Forest - but has found room on the bench for January signing Jean-Kevin Augustin.

Last weekend's 1-0 reverse to Paul Cook’s side saw Leeds knocked off top spot in the Championship and following Fulham's 1-0 win at Blackburn, only goal difference separates Leeds and the Cottagers, with the Bees two points behind.

Forest are among the chasing pack looking to supplant Leeds in the top two, with tonight’s clash at the City Ground the first of three matches in a week that Leeds will face against top six opponents.

Kiko Casilla made a high-profile error for Wigan’s winner last Saturday, but keeps his place in goal, with a back-four of Luke Ayling, Ben White, Liam Cooper and Gjanni Alioski.

Kalvin Phillips serves the last match of his three-game ban, so the central midfield positions appear to be made up of Stuart Dallas and Mateusz Klich with Pablo Hernandez in the more advanced position.

Jack Harrison and Helder Costa will provide the width, with Patrick Bamford again leading the line.

Augustin played 45 minutes for the under-23s last night, in a match which saw him starved of service and therefore unable to make any real contributions of note. But he now makes his first appearance in a first-team matchday squad.

There's no room for Ian Poveda, who also turned out last night.

Leeds begin the weekend in second place, a point off leaders West Brom and three ahead of third-placed Fulham, who are in action at Blackburn Rovers in a 3pm kick-off. Forest are a further point behind in fourth. West Brom visit Millwall tomorrow. A full round of midweek fixtures follow on Tuesday and Wednesday evening.

Leeds United: Casilla, Ayling, White, Cooper, Alioski, Dallas, Klich, Harrison, Costa, Hernandez, Bamford

Subs: Meslier, Struijk, Shackleton, Berardi, Stevens, Roberts, Augustin

Here is a look at how the fans have reacted to the pre-match team announcement and other results at the top of the Championship:

A win for Leeds will see them return to the top of the table.
