Marcelo Bielsa confirms his Leeds United starting XI to face Newcastle United

Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed an unchanged Leeds United starting XI to face Newcastle United tonight.

The Whites are looking to snap a two-match losing streak and improve on their record of having taken just four points from the last 18 available when they take on the Magpies this evening.

Bielsa has kept the faith with the side that suffered a 2-1 defeat to West Ham last Friday night, which means Illan Meslier will continue in front of goal, with Luke Ayling likely to again fill in at centre-back.

He will partner Liam Cooper in the middle of the defence, with Stuart Dallas and Gjanni Alioski likely to be in at full-back.

Mateusz Klich will operate in his usual midfield position, with record signing Rodrigo ahead of him. Raphinha and Jack Harrison will continue on the flanks, with Patrick Bamford again leading the line.

There is one change on the bench from Friday night, as Newcastle-born Leif Davis comes in for Helder Costa.

Leeds begin the evening 14th place in the Premier League table, but a win tonight would see them pull level on points with the Magpies, who sit a place above them.

Leeds United: Meslier, Alioski, Ayling, Cooper, Dallas, Phillips, Klich, Raphinha, Rodrigo, Harrison, Bamford

Subs: Casilla, Struijk, Shackleton, Davis, Roberts, Hernandez, Poveda
