Marcelo Bielsa confirms his Leeds United starting XI to face Leicester City

Marcelo Bielsa has recalled Pascal Struijk to Leeds United's starting XI for this afternoon's match at Leicester City.

The Dutch defender replaces the injured Diego Llorente, who limped off in the first ten minutes against Newcastle United midweek.

That means there is still no place in Bielsa's XI for Mateusz Klich, who starts his second consecutive match on the bench after being a near-ever present under Bielsa over the past two-and-a-half seasons.

Struijk will therefore partner skipper Liam Cooper in central defence, with Luke Ayling and Gjanni Alioski in the full-back positions. Illan Meslier continues in goal.

Kalvin Phillips will operate in his usual role in front of the defence, with Stuart Dallas and Rodrigo operating ahead of him.

Wingers Raphinha and Jack Harrison, who netted the goals against the Magpies, will provide the width, while leading scorer Patrick Bamford leads the line.

Under-23s defender Charlie Crewsswell makes the bench, while also features the likes of Helder Costa, Tyler Roberts, Pablo Hernandez and Ian Poveda.

Leeds begin the day 12th in the Premier League table and are up against a Foxes side that would go second with a win.

Leeds United: Meslier, Ayling, Struijk, Cooper, Alioski, Phillips, Raphinha, Dallas, Rodrigo, Harrison, Bamford

Subs: Casilla, Cresswell, Davis, Shackleton, Klich, Costa, Roberts, Hernandez, Poveda
