Marcelo Bielsa appears to confirm Kemar Roofe's Leeds United exit ahead of Bristol City clash

Marcelo Bielsa appears to have confirmed that Kemar Roofe will be leaving Leeds United.

The 26-year-old is expected to finalise his transfer to Anderlecht on Monday or Tuesday after a fee was agreed with the  Whites .

Sources in Belgium suggest Roofe has agreed terms on a three-year deal and will undergo a medical on Monday while the clubs tie up the finer details of the fee.

Speaking ahead of the Championship opener with Bristol City, Bielsa confirmed that Roofe would be following Bailey Peacock-Farrell out of the club.

He told Sky Sports, via a translator: "These were four players that were needed to leave by the club as we have to get Financial Fair Play into shape so it was a necessity that the club had.

"We decided that we wanted a team with 18 players.

"In the same time we are in a few difficulties because finally Roofe and (Bailey) Peacock-Farrell leave, they were in the squad of 18 players we chose before."
