Marcelo Bielsa and Leeds United handed huge double boost ahead of Tottenham clash

Leeds United have been given a huge double fitness boost ahead of Tottenham’s trip to Elland Road on Saturday.

Raphinha, who has missed the last three matches through injury, and Kalvin Phillips, who was injured during his team's 2-0 loss to Brighton at the weekend, will both be available for selection, reports Leeds Live.

Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa was unwilling to share anything other than that they were being monitored in the build-up to Saturday’s clash, but a video released by the club on Friday revealed that they are both back in training.

Whether the Argentine is happy enough for them to be in the starting line-up remains to be seen.

On the other hand, Ryan Mason has given an update on how his squad is looking. He revealed that Ben Davies is the only one who hasn’t been involved in training this week. Meanwhile, Tanguy Ndombele and Lucas Moura, who were both unused substitutes in their 4-0 victory over Sheffield United at the weekend, are in contention.

Spurs are currently sitting in sixth position in the Premier League, and a win over Leeds will be vital in determining whether they will be playing European football next season, in either of the two competitions.

But Mason has admitted he is wary of Bielsa’s side’s unique style of play, and knows that they will cause Spurs some issues: “Yes, they will pose certain problems and certain situations that will be different to other teams but we can't worry too much about them,” he said.

“We're ready, we have an idea of how they are going to play and the problems they might cause but we'll also cause them problems and it's important we focus on that.”
