Marcelo Bielsa and Jurgen Klopp agree on one of Leeds United's biggest strengths

Marcelo Bielsa’s assessment of Leeds United’s equaliser on Monday night, like most things, was bang on the money.

Jack Harrison’s set-pieces throughout the night were excellent and created real danger for Liverpool at Elland Road.

Even Jurgen Klopp acknowledged set-pieces had been one of Liverpool’s downfalls.

“It’s a deserved draw,” said Klopp. “We played a really good first half, could have scored a nice goal, could have scored others. Didn’t do that.

“Actually, the plan was to play the second half like the first.

“For some reason, that didn’t work out, but we had big counter-attacking chances which we should, or could, have used to finish the game, maybe, off.

“With 1-0, and Leeds is Leeds and very intense and stays intense, became even more intense in the second half.

“We dropped too deep and gave them too many set-pieces.”

Diego Llorente was the man who benefited most, in the end, from Harrison’s series of wicked deliveries. It added shine, Bielsa said, to a fine performance.

“Llorente played a very good game and the fact he scored a goal adds shine to his performance,” he said.

“The ball was very well struck by Harrison. When he arrived on the run it was with such power, the players who arrived like this have the advantage.”

The hope is Leeds can shackle what was working so well against Liverpool and move it now into their next games.
