Marcelino 'spotted' in London amid talk of becoming next Arsenal manager

Former Valencia boss Marcelino could be closing in on a new job, if reports are to be believed.

At the moment there are two managerial vacancies in the Premier League. One at Arsenal and one at Everton following the latter's decision to part company with Marco Silva after the Merseyside derby defeat against Liverpool.

And the Spaniard has been linked with both roles.

According to Goal, the Gunners have made contact with Marcelino who led Valencia to the Europa League semi-final last season but was sacked at the beginning of the season.

In addition, the report states that the Spaniard declined an offer from Everton recently which paves the way for the north London outfit.

Now in a rather interesting turn of events, Superdeporte are claiming that Marcelino landed in London on Sunday morning.

They also speculate that he could be close to taking up a new project.

If rumours are true that he's already rejected the Toffees, could Marcelino be the replacement for Unai Emery at the Emirates Stadium?

As expected, there's been a big response to the latest development in Arsenal's search for a new manager.
