Bayern Munich midfielder Marcel Sabitzer is flying to Manchester to complete his loan move to United.
The Manchester Evening News understands United already have vehicles at Manchester Airport to ferry Sabitzer to their Carrington training complex.
By the time Sabitzer touches down, United are expected to have the best part of four hours to complete the deal before tonight's 11pm deadline.

The club identified Sabitzer as the ideal short-term addition after Christian Eriksen was ruled out until late April with an ankle injury sustained in Saturday's FA Cup win over Reading.
Fellow midfielder Scott McTominay missed the tie through injury, leaving United with two senior midfielders in Casemiro and Fred to prepare for Wednesday night's League Cup semi-final second leg against Nottingham Forest.
Sabitzer, 28, could make his debut in the Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Saturday.
When asked about the prospects of a deadline day deal on Tuesday afternoon, United manager Erik ten Hag said: "As you said, on deadline day it's difficult, you can't make policy on such bad injuries.
"But we have players in the midfield department. Good players. We have players who can fill the gap."
Academy graduates Kobbie Mainoo, 17, and Zidane Iqbal, 19, are the alternative midfielders who have been involved with the first team this season.
Ten Hag wants to permanently sign a younger midfielder in the summer and is open to a second pursuit of Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong, whom United agreed an €85m fee for in the summer.
United have also not ruled out another attempt to sign Jude Bellingham three years after he opted to join Borussia Dortmund.
