Marc McNulty hit by SFA charge over Sean Clare 'stamp' during Hibs derby defeat

Hibs striker Marc McNulty has been hit with an SFA notice of complaint over an alleged stamp on Sean Clare.

The frontman appeared to stand on the Hearts midfielder's back during the first half of the 3-1 defeat on Tuesday night, but referee Kevin Clancy failed to take action at the time.

And now the Scotland international faces a ban for violent conduct, which will likely see him suspended for two games.

He'll face a disciplinary hearing on Monday, March 9 if he to refuse the offer of a two game ban by 3pm tomorrow.

He was charged with rule 200 which states: "Where any one of the sending off offences of (A1) serious foul play, (A2) violent conduct, and (A3) spitting at an opponent or any other person is committed by a player at a match, but that sending off offence was not seen by any of the match officials at the time that it was committed, the mandatory suspension for that sending off offence as provided for in Annex C of the Judicial Panel Protocol shall be applied to the player.”

If McNulty accepts the ban, he'll miss games against Aberdeen and St Johnstone for Jack Ross' side - but will be available to face the Dons if he turns down the offer.
