Liverpool face an anxious wait to see if they can finalise a deal for Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi.
Liverpool have submitted a deal sheet for Guehi after agreeing on a £35million fee with Palace. The player has already passed his medical.

Both Liverpool and Guehi, who is set to sign a five-year contract, want the move to go ahead.
However, with the transfer deadline having passed, the deal is now out of Liverpool’s hands.
Palace have agreed to sell Guehi, who captained the club to the FA Cup last season, with the club announcing the arrival of 19-year-old centre-back Jaydee Canvot from Toulouse.
Palace boss Oliver Glasner had said he didn’t want to lose Guehi if the club were unable to find an adequate replacement before the end of the window, and he is said to be extremely frustrated by the decision to sell Guehi.
Palace are set to finalise a deal for Getafe forward Christantus Uche but earlier pulled out of a deal for Brighton centre-back Igor Julio due to an issue with his medical.
It’s been a difficult summer and an ultimately disappointing deadline day for Palace, who have lost their captain without being able to bring in a suitable replacement.
Canvot is a like-for-like replacement, but last season was his first year as a professional, and the teenager won’t be expected to come in and fill Guehi’s shoes straight away.
A frustrating summer, in which Palace also lost Eberechi Eze, leaves Glasner short of options and experience heading into a season where they are expected to fight on four fronts.
