Marathon bars return as Snickers turn back time after overwhelming public demand

Mars Wrigley has announced that the Marathon bar will be returning to shelves in August after proving to be a smash hit with shoppers last year.

It was so popular in fact, chocolate lovers with a refined taste for nutty nostalgia bought over 4 million Marathon bars in just 12-weeks.

Demand for the chocolate treat was so high the retailer Morrisons had to introduce a limit on how many packs a customer could buy.

Hitting stores on August 10, the heritage branding will be available in Morrisons and McColl’s for a limited-time of three months.

For the first time in 30 years the Marathon bar will also be available in a single bar format, which is sure to really satisfy fans of the nougat treat.
