Maps show how Coronavirus has spread throughout Scotland

There are now 373 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Scotland, up 51 since Friday according the Scottish Government figures.

Seven people have also died in Scotland after contracting the virus.

Social distancing measures introduced by the government are intended to slow down the spread and keep pressure off the NHS.

Unsurprisingly, Scotland's major cities have the highest number of infections, with 110 and 44 in Glasgow and Edinburgh respectively.

However, Shetland remains the most infected place in the UK with the highest number of confirmed cases in relation to its population.

The island has over 10.4 cases per 10,000 people, compared with 0.5 cases per 10,000 people in the Lothians - which has 44 cases.

Glasgow has the highest number of confirmed cases - 110 as of Saturday 21 March. Forth Valley has 27 cases.

Elsewhere, there are 34 cases in Tayside - equivalent to 0.8 case per 10,000 people.
