Images of 3D digital mapping are a spectacular sight. When put together as a film paying tribute to King Rama IX, the experience takes on not just a greater significance but also leaves the audience spellbound.

The Emporium and EmQuartier, in collaboration with Three D Land and Thailand's top artists, backed by the Thailand Ministry of Culture, Government Housing Bank and Success Gurus, present a state-of-the-art 3D projection mapping film, Tribute To The Beloved King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
To guarantee the masses get to watch the film, which lasts for six minutes, it will be presented free of charge until Oct 27, 7pm onwards, on the facade of the shopping complexes.
A driving force behind the creation of the film, Tee Naanthawariis of Three D Land, remarked that the movie depicts the architectural splendour of the royal crematorium, constructed according to teachings from ancient traditions and Brahmin beliefs that the Thai king is a god descended to the human world.
On the passing away of a king, building the royal crematorium has to be based upon the model of mystical Mt Meru (Phra Sumen Mountain), home of the gods, symbolising the ascension of the king's spirit back to heaven.
Manatase Annawat of the Emporium and EmQuartier said the motivation behind the screening of the film was to tangibly show loyalty and gratitude for the many things the king accomplished on behalf of his subjects during his time on earth, and to send his spirit back to heaven this October.
Total space for screening of the film at both venues is reported to be 3,500m².
Integrated with the film will be paintings and sculptures by top Thai artists including Chakrabhand Posayakrit, Chuang Moolpinit and a string of other Thai national artists who are using this platform to pay tribute to King Bhumibol.
Visitors will also receive a commemorative postcard with a painting of the king by Chusit Wijarnjoragij. There are three different designs to choose from, and a total of 1,200 postcards will be distributed free of charge at Quartier Parc, in front of The Glass Quartier Building, EmQuartier.
Tribute To The Beloved King Bhumibol Adulyadej promises to leave a lasting impression on the hearts of all.
