Map shows Nottingham's drastic Covid rate divide

A major Covid Nottingham divide can be seen in the latest case rate figures.

Covid figures tell a very different story in areas across Nottingham, with case rates per 100,000 varying from around 30 to almost 700.

The figures, for the seven days to September 18, are based on the number of people who have tested positive for the virus in either a lab-reported or rapid lateral flow test, by specimen date.

Old Basford is by far the worst hit area in the city, with a case rate of 674.8 per 100,000 people.

This contrasts starkly with Clifton North, which has a case rate of just 32.5.

Nottingham City Centre, Lenton and parts of St Ann's are also considerably low, especially in comparison with areas in Sherwood and Carlton, which both have case rates above 500 per 100,000 people.

Here are lists of the most and least effected areas in Nottingham:

  • Old Basford - 674.8
  • Lady Bay - 561.2

  • Sherwood Vale - 514.9

  • Carlton Hill - 508.3

  • Ruddington - 442.3

  • Arboretum, Forest & Trent University - 57.6
