Map reveals latest coronavirus hotspots in Bury - here's where had the most cases last week

The latest coronavirus hotspots in Bury have been revealed in a new interactive map.

Fernhill and Pimhole had 10 positive Covid-19 tests last week – more than double the number of cases recorded in any other part of the borough.

Crumpsall North, Heaton Park, Buckley Wells and Fishpool all had four positive tests during July 27 to August 2.

Besses o' th' Barn and Whitehead Park recorded three cases while Sedgley Park had two cases.

Hotspots around the country are shown in the government map which breaks the country down into areas with a population of around 7,000 residents which are generally larger than council wards.

In Bury, there over 20 of the districts - known as Middle Super Output Areas - listed on the map.

The biggest spike in coronavirus cases in Bury came during the week of May 24, when 40 people tested positive for Covid-19 in Walmersley and Limefield.

During the week ending April 19, 20 people tested positive in the Whitehead Park area.
