Many Sky Ireland customers to see prices change as company ends four TV packages

Sky Ireland customers are being notified about changes to their plans which could lead to price increases - or decreases in some cases.

The company is set to move all customers on their "legacy base packages" over to their newer offering called Sky Signature.

That means customers on Sky Original/Variety/Q-Bundle/Ents will all have been notified that they will soon change.

Some customers will see no change to the price of their subscription, some will see an increase and some will see a decrease as the change happens

Sky's official website states the Signature package includes Sky TV and Sky Box Sets and is listed at €36 per month with a 12 month minimum term.

A Standard price of €41 per month applies when not signing up to a new minimum term or outside of minimum term.

A Sky spokesperson told the Irish Mirror: "At Sky, we’re committed to bringing our customers award-winning entertainment they can enjoy 365 days a year. To make sure we can continue to deliver the best entertainment and TV experience, we occasionally need to review our TV packages.

"That’s why we’re removing some of our legacy TV packages and streamlining them with our newest TV offering Sky Signature, which includes Sky Boxsets, giving access to 500 series, 43,000 episodes and 27,000 hours of award-winning entertainment.”
