Manufacturing firm in north Notts is looking to recruit more graduates from the county for training scheme jobs

A manufacturing firm in north Nottinghamshire is looking to recruit more "talented" graduates in the county for its graduate training scheme.

Kybotech, one of the UK's biggest manufacturers of garden sheds and buildings, is offering graduates jobs where they can "learn every aspect" of the business, including buying, marketing and finance.

The firm - which was founded in 2000 - started the graduate scheme four months ago at its 20-acre site in the Dukeries Industrial Estate, Worksop.

It has already recruited seven graduates into the programme and has now announced plans to offer places to at least a further four university leavers.

Those who have graduated from a university in the county or are returning home to Nottinghamshire having studied at an institution elsewhere are eligible to apply.

Christopher Palmer-Smith, chief operating officer at Kybotech, said: “Our graduate programme is one of the very best opportunities for university leavers in our region so it’s little wonder we’ve received hundreds of applications already.

“Our standards are very high and we are seeking only the most outstanding people to join our business at what is a hugely exciting time for Kybotech.

“We have made significant investments into our manufacturing processes recently and this has resulted in a period of sustained growth for the company.

“We need more top talent to help us continue our success and our graduate programme is key to that. It offers the opportunity to gain skills quickly and to rapidly advance their abilities and their earnings."

The firm’s graduate programme is open to applicants from a wide range of degrees and universities, provided they have a strong academic record.

The selection process consists of a telephone interview, a cultural fit assessment, an intelligence assessment and finally a face to face interview.

Successful applicants would be given on the job training and assigned a director as a mentor.

The successful candidates will also have the chance to work with CEO and founder Charles Walton, who won Business Entrepreneur of the Year at the Nottingham Post Business Awards this year.

Kybotech make sheds and garden buildings under the 'BillyOh' brand and the company claims it sells more than 165,000 items online each year, including around one in every eight sheds sold in the UK.
