Manuel Pellegrini gives Lukasz Fabianski and Manuel Lanzini injury updates ahead of Southampton

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini admits that the Hammers will continue to be without Lukasz Fabianski and Manuel Lanzini for the crunch clash with Southampton this weekend.

The Hammers travel to face the Saints at St Mary's, with West Ham just one point above their opponents, who currently sit in the relegation zone with 15 points from 16 games.

As such, it is a crucial game for both sides, with West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini under increasing pressure after a poor run of results in recent weeks.

And Pellegrini has provided the latest injury news ahead of the game, with the Hammers still set to be without long-term absentees Fabianski and Lanzini.

Lukasz Fabianski back in training

"The injuries are Lukasz Fabianski who continues his recovery along with Manu Lanzini," he said, speaking at his pre-match press conference .

"Winston Reid is working without problems. Jack Wilshere continues with some pain."

Fabianski has been out since September, with the Polish goalkeeper sustaining a torn hip muscle in the 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.

Meanwhile, Lanzini fractured his collarbone in the 3-0 defeat at Burnley last month, with the Argentine expected to be out until the new year.

Full-back Aaron Cresswell was also forced off in West Ham's 3-1 defeat against Arsenal on Monday with a suspected hamstring problem, but Pellegrini did not provide an update on his situation at his pre-match press conference.
