Manuel Pellegrini declares West Ham's transfer business is closed after Albian Ajeti signs

West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini has spent £75m during the summer and has said there will be no more arrivals at the club on deadline day after completing the sixth one on Thursday morning.

Striker Albian Ajeti is the final new face that will be arriving through the doors in east London after he completed an £8m switch from Basel in Switzerland and trained with his new teammates for the first time on Thursday morning.

Pellegrini has broken the transfer record for a third time at the club this summer, signing Sebastien Haller on a £40m deal from Eintracht Frankfurt, shelled out £25m on Pablo Fornals, £2.75m on Goncalo Cardoso and signed golakeepers Roberto and David Martin on free transfers.

With deadline day upon us, a frenzied end to the day can always happen and the Hammers are usually embroiled in it in some way but not this year as the Chilean manager has said, in terms of incomings, his business is done.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of the Man City Premier League opener on Saturday, the boss said: "I think we are all done.

"I am happy because I think we have completed the squad in the way I wanted. We have two players in each position, good player too.

"I always think that to have good performances, you need competition in your position to be in the starting eleven.

"We did what we needed to do."
