Manuel Pellegrini has stayed coy on the future of Samir Nasri at West Ham after the French midfielder suffered a third calf muscle injury on Monday night.
Nasri signed a six-month contract at the club on New Year's Day but has made only six appearances in four months at the club having signed on the dotted line after more than a year out of the game after serving a doping ban.
His latest injury was picked up at half time of the 2-0 defeat to Chelsea on Monday night. Nasri was warming up on the pitch and was set to be introduced as a substitute for the start of the second half but felt a problem in his calf and didn't emerge.
The 31-year-old has been ruled out of this weekend's trip to Manchester United on Saturday evening as a result of his latest setback.

Pellegrini was initially very keen to hand the player a permanent contract at the end of the campaign but speaking ahead of the United game on Saturday, has changed his tune a little bit.

The manager said: "About next season, I don't know.
"We knew that when Samir came here we had a risk for muscle injuries because he was more than one year without playing so we will see at the end of the season."
