Mansion next door to Harry and Meghan snapped up by mystery buyer for £14m

The plush pad next door to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's mansion appears to have sold for a whopping £14million after the asking price dropped by millions.

The staggering sum has bought the mystery buyer a mansion in an exclusive celeb enclave, next door to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex whose stately home is just yards away.

The Duchess is known to frequent the lavish garden, and just days ago recorded a YouTube video where she read her children's book, The Bench, for Brightly Storytime, a reading initiative connected to Penguin Random House.

The next door seven-bed, 13-bathroom estate was originally on sale for a about £16.3million in March but it has since sold for the reduced price of about £14million, according to Realtor.com.

The mansion, which sits on 5.56 acres of land, is a former home to actor Robert Lowe, according to a local news report.

Megastars such as Gwyneth Paltrow and Oprah Winfrey own homes nearby and Peter Sperling, son of University of Phoenix founder John Sperling sold his seven-bed, 13-bath property in the neighbourhood in April this year, deed documents show.
