Mansfield Town suspend midfielders over alleged 'breach of club discipline'

Mansfield Town have suspended two midfielders over an alleged 'serious breach of club discipline'.

The club have launched an investigation, meaning Dion Donohue and Jacob Mellis will not train or be available for matches during this period.

A spokesman for the Stags said: "A full investigation is now in process and the club will make no further comment until the investigation is completed."

Both players were not in the squad for their win at Carlisle this weekend although Mellis was serving the last game of a three-match ban.

Donohue has been working his way back to fitness following his switch from Portsmouth in the summer.

The Stags are next back in action on Tuesday night when they face Leyton Orient as they look to build on Saturday’s impressive win over the Cumbrians.
