Manor Solomon is highly interested in the idea of a move to Arsenal football.london understands.
A source close to the players revealed exclusively that he would be "delighted" if the Shakhtar Donetsk winger joined the Gunners, but admitted "there is still a long way to go" before a move happens.
football.london also understands that Pini Zahavi is involved in talks between club and player. The Israeli 'super agent' is reportedly in touch with Arsenal technical director Edu.
Zahavi offered the Shakhtar Donetsk winger to the Gunners' former head of football Raul Sanllehi in May 2020 before the Spaniard left the club last summer.
Sanllehi's dismissal initially scuppered the deal but Solomon's impressive performances in the Champions League and for the Israeli national team this season have put him back on Arsenal's radar.
The player is now understood to be using the services of Zahavi to put him contact with a host of Premier League clubs with a view to a move in the summer.
Zahavi is a friend of Kia Joorabchian, who has close links to Edu, and has helped the Gunners broker deals to sign Willian, Cedric and David Luiz in the recent past.
The 77-year-old Israeli also has links to fellow 'super agents' Jorge Mendes and Mino Raiola.
Zahavi is not Solomon's representative and would be acting as an intermediary between the two parties as the player is already registered to Israeli agents Shlomy Ben Ezra and Gilad Katsav.
Reports have suggested that the deal could happen this January.
Speaking recently to Yom Pod, Ben Ezra described the likelihood of the transfer going ahead as "50/50."
However, it is thought the player would prefer a move in the summer so that he is able to join up with Mikel Arteta's squad for preseason training.
The 21-year-old winger has impressed with three goals in ten appearances for Shakhtar Donetsk this season including a wonder strike against Real Madrid in the Champions League.
He is understood to be one of several options Arsenal are looking at in the position.
