Manny Pacquiao signs for Conor McGregor's management company as boxing match moves step closer

Manny Pacquiao has teased big things to come after announcing that he's signed with Conor McGregor's management company Paradigm Sports.

Amid speculation that the legendary boxer could face McGregor in a money-spinning super-fight, the move appears to signal that it could be one step closer.

Although the Dubliner is locked in negotiations over a return to the octagon to fight Dustin Poirier later this year, plans to take on Pacquiao are sure to be too enticing for McGregor to ignore.

With speculation suggesting that the pair could lock horns in early 2021, having the Filipino under Paradigm Sports and Auddie Attar's umbrella is sure to only help pave the way for the potential fight.

Taking to Twitter to make the announcement, Pacquiao said: "Excited to have officially partnered with Paradigm Sports. Grateful for the support of my family, team, and fans as I continue my professional boxing journey. Big things coming! Stay tuned!".

McGregor announced his retirement earlier this summer amid frustration with the UFC over plans for his next fight.

While McGregor waits for another shot at bitter rival and lightweight champ Khabib Nurmagomedov, he walked away from the sport due to a lack of enticing fights.

And as he enjoyed his retirement in the south of France in recent months, talk of the super-fight has led to McGregor returning to training this week.

The Notorious one has stepped into the ring already, he lasted ten rounds in a mega-fight with undefeated legend Floyd Mayweather in August 2017.
